Trying to remove butt stock without buggering it up. Is there an adhesive used to hold it on? Removed the screws but it won't budge. Don't want to force it or use tools unless I need to. Thanks for any info!

Welcome to the Browning Owners Forum !!

There is no adhesive used by the factory to hold the butt stock on...I would use WD40 where the wood meets the metal to loosen any gunk that may be present...do the maintenance required...making sure to wipe the WD40 from the wood and metal and oil lightly at the joint prior to reassembly.

Thanks for the reply, but I messed up. I was thinking "butt plate" and typed "butt stock". It's just the butt plate that's stuck, not the stock. Rookie mistake on my part!

No problem...if the butt plate has no screws, then adhesive was probably used.

I did manage to get it off OK. There was a light adhesive, mostly around the center of the plate.
