Looking to replace a few parts on my 1953 Auto-5 as well as my FiL's 1963. Looking at Midwest Gun Works and they have the following part but does not resemble the part I see in assembly videos. Improved design? Wrong part pictured?
When changing that do it in the toilet cubical with door shut and lid down. After it zings around 6 times like a hockey puck you can retrieve without needing a Labrador! Oh yeah serious side though , safety glasses are a must playing with bits like this under compression with bit of rust n dirt , in case it gets away from you or kicks off the circlip pliers. Might just save you an eyeball or having to change to an opposite shooting shoulder.
