    Hello, the first sorry for my Englisch, i am a Browning B25 and a Cynergy Trap Owner....i shot al the Perazzi and Berettas...my Love is the B25 for Olimpic Trap...can you help my to search the Year with the Serialnumber...48.... S5 ?

    I Love the Brownings...an can make with all the Beratt and Perazzis old Metall :)

    Hello and welcome. If this was a Browning imported into the United States I'd feel confident saying 1965. But FN produced guns for the world market don't necessarily follow the same rules. According to this article, the B25 Superposed didn't show up until 1988.

    According to that 48 S5 would be a 12 Gauge Superposed made in 1965.

    Thanks Rudolph31......i have thinks the number 48....S5 ist the year 1956.....S5..also ist the 65...Thanks !....ist this gun male in Belgium ?

    The Superposed was made in Belgium. The design was simplified and renamed Citori when production was switched to Japan in the 1970's, although the Super was still made on a limited basis by FN.

    There should be a Date Code among the proofmarks. A list can be found here:

    Each barrel should have marks that look like these:

    In this case the letter h is the code for 1929.
