I have acquired an A5 which I have wanted since I was a youngster. Serial number 68V 28XXX. I'm having a hard time on the Browning web page figuring the date of my weapon. Is it a 1968? It is a magnum 3". Also it looks as if the stock has been cut down a couple inches. What is my best option for replacement? Would It be best to replace the stock and for-end to match the wood? Metal is 98% with no pitting. I'm happy with it except for the stock.... image.jpg

Yeah, I've been on the site. I'm just confused trying to interpret the info it provides. Any ideas on the cutdown stock. Should I just buy new ones from Midwest Gunworks?
