Hello All- new the forum. I have a A5 16 gauge that belonged to my wife's grandfather. I have figured out some of the operation of the gun. The owners manual does not detail what the rectangular 'button' on the side of the receiver is used for or if it even a button. Thanks Danny
It’s not a button, it’s the Cartridge Stop. It prevents the next shell from feeding until the barrel is back in battery. I’m sure I’ve just triggered a slew of additional questions, but if you read this thread, the feed cycle will be explained: http://www.browningowners.com/forum/index.php?threads/auto-5-spits-live-shells-when-fired.5913/ How (and why) to set up the friction pieces is explained here: http://www.browningowners.com/forum/index.php?threads/auto-5-friction-pieces.8718/
