A local gun shop has an A-Bolt synthetic stock, blued finish in 300 Win Mag. the rifle has open sights. I don't remember seeing one with open sights. Did Browning offer them this way or is this something a previous owner has added? The rifle has been around the block and the bore was filthy. I wouldn't even consider it unless the owner cleaned the bore or allowed me to, but I was wondering if the sights were original or not.
Most units made today come without sights. It’s a way to reduce manufacturing costs and browning realizes most owners will be mounting optics. They do and or did make versions of some rifles with iron sights.
