    Bill: sounds like a lot of work, labor of love for sure. Can you post some pictures so we can see what they look like please. This might be something I want to try. I have a 1936 that could use a little love.

    Bill thats some kind of prosses. If you're getting the results you want of course it's worth it. Mine was similar as far as degreasing is paramount, after removing old Bluing I sanded pit marks out finishing with 600. I wish I had heated at least before the first coat of Blue (it just felt like I should have). I used about 5 coats of "Perma Blue" from Birchwood Casey. I wanted the gun to still look somewhat like something from 1929 and the Perma Blue to my amateurish eyes isn't as strong as the Super Blue. It's a little more see thru like it's worn thin thru the years. Thank you for sharing your prosses. It gives me new things to try on my next one.
