Browning Safari Grade (Sako) 22-250

    I just purchased this gorgeous rifle in mint condition, made in 1969. I am familiar with taking Mauser bolts apart for cleaning, but not Sako bolts. If anyone has an owners manual that they can copy and send me, or can direct me to one posted online, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much,

    Sorry, I can't help you with taking apart the bolt. I had a duplicate of yours a number of years ago. Mine had a sporter weight barrel and I had a 12x Redfield scope on it. I used it on groundhogs. My longest shot on one was 375 yards that I paced off. That was before the modern rangefinders. It would hold about a 1/2 to 3/4 " group at 100 yards. After about 3 shots the barrel heated up pretty good and they would open up. Never had occasion to take the bolt apart. You might want to try Gun Scrubber on it in the meantime.
