When the XBolt Pro starts shipping I plan on getting one. Question is has anyone came across a good place to get a scope and rings in Burnt bronze Cerakote or will you have to find a place to custom make coat them? I believe Leupold has a custom shop and looks like you can get a burnt bronze custom scope but I was wonder about the mounts. I have Browning X-Lock rings on my 2 Brownings now and really like them. Hope to be able to use them on the Pro when I am able to purchase it. Thanks Randy
Depending on the tube size...the mounts ( Browning X-Lock rings ) you have should work. Cerakote color will be up to you...I would call the Leupold Custom Shop to verify if they can do the bronze color for your Browning rings. https://www.leupold.com/resources/custom-shop/ LEUPOLD PRODUCT SERVICE – U.S.A. The X Bolt Pro promotional video, the one that starts with a close up of a guy holding an X Bolt Pro, then shifts to a mountain range view with a guy walking along, then to two Big Horn Rams butting heads.....is one of the best U Tube gun videos on the planet, shot well filmed, and makes you want to own one. Yes, There is marketing here. As well as imagery that promotes high end hunting rifle ownership. Details like Cerakoting etc., make a real difference in fit and finish, and long term protection. I’d like to know what Leupold Custom Shop will do since they are the supplier for the mounts and rings. What did you find out. Also I for one would like to,know about practical field usage and long term maintenance, and shooting accuracy......is the X Bolt Pro worth the e trap money compared to say, A Hells Canyon Speed Rifle???
Having actually looked over the X Bolt Pro pretty close but not avtually hunted with one it looks like one of the fey best rifles on the market. I did myself just order A Second X Bolt Maple Medalion. The Pro though is a spectacular rifle. I just adore the Maple stocks. As to toughness in the field, the oldest rifles I know of all have Maple Stocks. The X Bolt Pro though is awesome, still might get one.
Google them. I found them while recently looking for 30mm talley (Browning X-Lock) rings for my two new X-bolts. Browning or Talley rings is what they were.
