My prized 525 is stored in a VCI sock (soon to get a browning VCI sock) in a safe with a Napier super VP90 pouch in a gun safe which has VCI wax paper lining. They are stored barrel down with the gun leaning on it's top side (oil drains down barrel and away from wood work). It's in the safe with 2 other shotguns and a scoped air rifle. Apart from annoying smears on the barrels and knocks to the wood work from the gunsafe I'm very happy All my guns are stored and transported with a trigger lock.
Browning VCI socks on mine, and I actually don't invert them in my safe. Every gun has a snap cap and fired. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like anything John Browning designed I like anything accurate I like quality firearms Thus a percentage of my guns are Brownings
A what? ;-) No, I do not use trigger locks. I have my Brownings in my safes, which stay locked all the time. When I transport, I usually transport my 725 to the trap field, which I do so in my luggage case (which is locked with a pair of suitcase tumbler locks). I do not have children, so I feel that this is a safe and secure way for my needs. If I had kids, I might look at using a trigger lock all the time, and definitely when transporting. My dad had them on the two guns he had while I was growing up... and just kept the guns in a rack in his closet.
All my guns are stored in a steel safe. I take out my night stand gun every night and it goes back in the safe when I leave the house.
I store mine in a environmental control safe. Keeps the humidity down. Transport in lock cases except one.
