OK here's what I had in the back of the safe. Superposed sporting 30 inch barrels, solid rib and wait for it…“Etchen Special” Birdseye maple stock with medallion on pistol grip. Puts you in command that curve back (feels sooo good) pistol grip also has the metal horseshoe forearm piece. Brought it out to shoot 5 stand choked improved cylinder and full. Hey I've never checked it's birthday, flipped to the Browning serial number page and ??????? it's not listed. Probably got the numbers wrong, nope. The #'s are 127xx stamped in all the appropriate places. Guess what there is no reference to (127) serial numbers. Am I wrong? I'm thinking the numbers were stamped wrong…should be 172. Thoughts people?
Prewar stack barrel anti clay target update…shot 5 stand first time with my PSBACT (refer to first six words) scattergun on a fact finding mission…the chokes bottom barrel .14 thousandths good, upper .35 suggested might be a bit tight for close in targets. Results? Hey not bad 18,20, 19,18 in that order not shabby for an 81 year old. Am I enthused? You betcha!
Excellent job sir! Hope I'm still pulling the trigger at 81. yes, I agree those are a little tight for skeet. I am a choke guy for sure. I am having some installed in a sxs, hopefully this week, he will get started.
