I’m no expert on the Super Lights. I don’t care for their appearance, high grade or not. And some were prone to the stock cracking. Still, if I were carrying it a lot and shooting it a little, I might be interested.
That would be the draw for me. A hunting gun. Carry a lot, shoot a little. And even if it kicked harder, shooting at game it wouldn’t be very noticeable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
While I think about it, weren’t the Double Autos a lightweight alloy frame? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I believe most were, with the originals being steel. I’m not sure if steel was an option throughout production.
If there’s a counter offer, and you’re tempted to take it, make it out-the-door. Let them eat the sales tax. In fact, I just did the math. $1600 out the door makes for a sales price of $1495 if your sales tax is 7%.
I thought it was local. There probably is no sales tax. I like it more than I thought I would. The receiver looks like steel, which the early Super Allege had. I could learn to live with the square knob, I guess. It’s worth $1500, I’d say.
Well I am happy to report the seller accepted my offer and is paying the shipping too. He said it doesn’t cycle Federal Premium shells very well
