Okay gentlemen, I recently won the bid on two superposed shotguns on the internet, a 12 and a 20. The twenty is a 1970 pigeon grade but the 12 seemed unusual, it appeared to be a higher grade early trap gun since it is coin finished, the photos were not too good so I couldn't really see what the pattern was. Well they came in today and to my surprise the 12 is a RKLT early trap gun in pigeon grade, serial number is 236C5. My research so far is this gun is possibly one of one custom shop. Do any...

Hi all -

My father passed away in December 22 at the ripe old age of 89. He left behind a beautiful 1977 Superposed, which hung in a case on the wall of his den for the last 25-30 years. I am virtually certain he never used it, although I have no wayof knowing whether it had ever been used by the first owner. It is a presentation level 2 gun, .28 ga., deeply engraved and signed by Baerten. All specifics are listed on the original hangtag from when he purchased it at Griffin & Howe in Manhattan...

I recently purchased a 1974 English straight stock Diana grade Superposed. I have noticed several variances in the engraving vignettes as well as the coverage on the sideplates of the action. Let me describe, the engraving is not chased all the way around to the bottom of the action. There are blank edges between the sides and bottom panels. There is a circular engraved area around the hinge at the break. The panels are as they should be as to subject matter , ducks one side, pheasants on the...
