Thought I would post a picture of the first Belgium Browning Bolt Action Rifle made, serial number L1. This rifle was made in 1959 and sent to the FN warehouse in January of 1960. There are a few interesting variations on this rifle compared to the production series. The most notable variation is the recessed sling studs. There are some interesting stories that go along with this rifle. Glad to have been able to add this one to the collection and many of you may have seen our rifle display at Tulsa earlier this year. www.browningcollector.com
30-06 Win. The stock actually is in 90% condition. I put a story on www.BrowningCollector.com about the history of L1 and 8-10 pix. We have been fortunate this past 2 years and acquired L2 and L3. They will be featured in a two part story later this year. Both are Funken engraved and completely different.
