Thats a good question. Im not sure, i think our average hanging weight is 200-300lbs idk about live weight.

Nice kills! Elk hunting has been on my to do list for a while; seeing pictures such as yours makes me want to go even more now.

Im spoiled. i have been elk hunting basically my entire life. My sister has a Cow elk tag this fall she will be using the .270WSM BAR.

My Browning A bolt stainless stalker L/H in 3006 has accounted for 9 elk in 12 years all one shot kills. Its a long way from retired. Nora

My wife shot a cow elk in the Utah's Wasatch Mtns. using the outfitters BLR in 7mm WSM, about 1990. That got me into BLRs, we've shot everything from from javelina to cape buffalo with them.
