Here are my Mossbergs... 590a1: 20" 9 shot with Ghost Ring sights 590 Cruiser: 23" 9 shot with Breacher/Standoff barrel The cruiser came with Old Glory laser etched onto the receiver...
My Mossberg 500 Cruiser...8+1 shots of 12 guage from a pistol gripped 20" barrel with bead sights and heat shield.
Here is a picture of my first shotgun...a Stoeger Uplander side by side or double as they are sometimes refered to by shotgun aficionados. She is a 12 gauge field grade model that come with American Walnut stocks and a 26" ribbed barrel that is fixed choked IC & M and has a gold bead sight. Weight is around 7.5lbs unloaded. I bought her for $180 way back in the day...before the company was bought by Sako, then Benelli, then by Berretta. She retails now for around $400 today... I took my very first deer with a "pumpkin ball" slug on a hunting trip with my father, and have used it since then to take duck, pheasant, quail, turkey, rabbit, fox, groundhog, and just about any other small game you can think of.
Was back home hangin out with the folks and had an opportunity to snap some pics of my Pop's collection. He's got a couple really cool older model shotguns, a couple of the belonged to my Grandad... Montgomery Ward & Co Western Field New Model Double Barrel 12ga
Marlin Model 19, 12ga With the slide-action, the pump forces the bolt through the breach and cocks the hammer much like a lever action rifle. It's an awesome gun and was made between 1906-1907.
This one's a bit newer than the others, but was discontinued in the early '70s... Winchester 1400 MK II, 20ga
I liked my Mossberg 590 Cruiser, but with the pistol grip only set-up I didn't get out and shoot it very often. So, I picked up the Blackhawk Knoxx SpecOps adjustable stock this afternoon. Installation was a breeze. Before pic... ...and with the new stock... Here it is with the 590A1... So if it's not a Cruiser anymore I guess it's a "Tactical Breacher" or "590 SP" now, not sure what to call it. The new rig is a much more practical for me and it'll get a lot more range time now. It's got a great feel to it and I can't wait to get it out to the range tomorrow.
Picked up a Mossberg 930 Tactical yesterday... Man this weapon feels great! Can't wait to get out to the range with it. Sadly, the local range is closed over the weekend due to Easter. Looks like I'll have to just drool over it for another week until I can get out to the range to take her for a test drive...
...and I do believe that SNIPER is buying a gun a week...!! Very nice Mossy 930 sir...looking forward to the range report !!
