Well today has been another example of how "Two Faced" a Government body can be when under pressure and against the wall to get re elected.
The "woke and broke" Administration in State of Victoria has done a complete backflip and now come out with move publically supporting "Youth Shooting" programs and practices in a last ditch effort to get more votes as Shooting Public prepare to ditch them along with the rest.
This all goes completely against their "Anti Gun" stance and own supporters including Party stance who promote total condemnation.
There has also been Media and Anti Gun spotlight banging the drum.
    Apparently ........
Youth Shooting has absolutely no place in Australian culture and introducing youth to such practices is deplorable. Now their all busy turning on their own like sharks.
Shooting public already knows this is a cheap stunt to get votes back and if they somehow got re elected would then move to carry out the actions into law.
Their is fair chance Victoria will see a change of Government come November. Sooner this present lot flushed the better.

Wish you the best of luck in your upcoming elections. Politicians will try anything. It use to be an honor to run for and be elected to public office. I have observed that you usually have to be pretty well off to be elected to public office. By the time they leave that office, they're all millionaires. The U.S. congressmen and senators all have lifetime pensions regardless of the number of terms they served. I don't think that was the intension of our Founding Fathers, God Bless Them.

Yes it's exactly as you describe.
It will be interesting event one day if the run away at moment leader of "One Nation" party actually becomes Prime Minister.
She has humble background before politics of running a Fish and Chip shop.
Very different to the other 99 .9 percent who have come from privilege and never faced life's hardships.

Saw a quote today that went something to the effect of:

"Briton gave up thier rights to own firearms 30 years ago. Today they are being arrested for public statements they make".

Sounds like the guise of Cromwell has returned in the form of Stalin. What's next for Briton, gulags?

At present Britt's have it little bit better in some gun ownership aspect areas than us here Down Under.
Shotguns and small calibre stuff way more relaxed but Rifles tighter. Semi Autos lot more accepted in UK.
Yes lots of rules and BS going on there too rest assured and not good stuff.
They have ongoing issues and battles with ranges and crazy strict noise control restrictions and abatement laws pertaining to gunfire along with the no lead environmental stuff in background.
Land to actually shoot on and over regularly is big problem for those guys.
However there is now new push on over there to change and tighten things up way further. Yuk...
On all other fronts they are way worse off especially their free speech interpretations.
Absolutely no desire to live in the UK

Well first signs of some hope happened Down Under this week in State of Victoria.

The turncoat "Anti Gun" party backed suddenly turned " Pro Gun" 11th hour Premier (State Leader) had to publically fall on her sword
Leadership Resignation due to mounting public and internal party pressure.
There has been huge "Ditch the Witch" campaign going on there as the State is broke and administration embroiled in multiple corruption allegations.
There is State election there in 4 months time and now very likely they will be booted.
The other Uni party player is on their knees in the polls so real chance now of the new Third Player who are "Pro Gun" and right up there in polls seizing control.
Exciting times with big cracks in the walls appearing some prospect of hope and positive change on the horizon for gun owners and shooters in Victoria.
Much better position than back in January 2026.
Let's hope the revolution can still carry through nationally in 2 years time.

  7. Look what I had to have shipped to an FFL so they could verify my identity for the state and log my purchase

Also, every one of these screwdriver tips had to be logged, approved and documented by the state. Boxcars and gas chambers can’t be far off.

Well that's a quality sample of how stupid things get and out of hand when people who have no idea are at the helm setting rules and regulations.
I don't see screw driver tips as "weapons of mass destruction" just yet

That's about as good as somebody with a degree in running Child Care Centres being in charge of purchasing equipment for the Army.
They would have zero idea...... Of what's important.
If somebody is in charge of a portfolio then they should at least be from that background.

Well some more positive news on repealing the crazy South Wales firearms act 2026.
This forcibly rammed on State of NSW in February communist dictator draconian style as the first step new model for all of Australia.

Now due to the sweeping and fast changing national political climate Down Under and and all pressures associated

Finally been some public recognition by key individual Political Figures speaking up sidelines that the laws were indeed rushed through too fast as a knee jerk "look like your doing something" reaction without the correct due consideration and have isolated the wrong avenue of the law abiding firearm owner/user and the supporting industry.

What a Suprise.............. All trying to isolate themselves from the obvious.
Yes their actions unwittingly started a revolt.
All words now coming to light from very nervous political people within doomed Parties who realise they are suddenly going to be without a job.......

This week there is a strong push and legal moves being put in place and on the table by the lobby groups to challenge for formal repeal of the 2026 act on a change of Government.
How easy or hard that is to actually do and reverse is yet to be determined.
    However
There may be some real hope on the horizon........

  13. It’s california. They are going to be really upset with all the global warming caused by the extra driving to FFL’s

Sounds like California is fast becoming as stupid as here when it comes to the words "guns and ammo" and all the stigma and baggage that comes with it.

They been that way for years. It's already on the list. I do know some folks from there that are normal, so we will give 556 a break. I just hope he has a chance to get away from there soon.

We might all be forced around the world to follow and adopt Californian emission laws to allegedly keep the "planet green".
I am none to keen on how they firstly tight restrict and then price gouge ammunition with extra State Tax making ridiculous expensive proposition.
Hopefully idiot Politicians and Police Commissioners don't get wind of that one here and try to enforce it .....

Actually if you are not in the EBT zones or Marin county, most of us are fairly normal. Most meaning > 50%
