I always heard that politics was a dirty way to may a living. When the Founding Fathers started out, being elected to office or asked to serve was not meant to be a lifetime job with a lifetime pension. Apparently it affects your memory. Our governor here cannot seem to remember his military career.

Well the latest on the Aussie gun politics and law scene now involves firearms importers.
Appears the Feds new. Stiffened update laws to border force and customs have created such a grey area and unknown that there is now huge bottle neck backlog in importers paperwork processing and timeframes Their stock on water is in limbo land or stuck on shore in Turkey or wherever.
Got to point where the licenced importers supplying the licenced dealers are now pulling down the shutters because of the BS and uncertainty.
What a mess. Some of these importers have substantial spares holdings eg barrels and trigger groups for models that were suddenly listed as illegal contraband and worthless overnight.
They are wanting some compensation which is only fair but Feds passed all these rushed laws without getting things in place or sorted and left these importers out to dry.
Results is now if you want to buy a new gun your looking at 9 months wait after you pay your FFL in full and 3 months for Cops to process your legal bit application.
Quicker we eject this out of control present Federal Woke Establishment the better. Apart from miss treating all gun owners they are doing good job shooting themselves in other arena of politics.

Use to be that if you were a convicted felon, you could not vote. That changed too in many areas. Coming across the border illegally is a felony. In Md. when they go to get a Md. drivers license, they ask you if you want to register to vote. Nothing like trying to enlarge you voting base, regardless of who it is.

The political trick in this Country is letting a heap immigrants from anywhere come here to Australia essentially unchecked ,then setting them up in specific Electoral areas with fast tracked Citizenship to manipulate and swing the voting numbers and "political loyalty" a certain way.
Voting is compulsory over here when you hit 18 yrs or you get fined.
Unfortunately the poor front door security check in process has allowed some pretty nasty clericks,extremist, terrorists and anti semitism to slip through the net and become entrenched in the system.
Worst bit it's all tax payer funded and government concession based to ensure an outcome and re election.

Oh and to add fuel to fire you don't have to be a Citizen to own a gun ,well that until just recent from Bondi Event last December
So you see how that plays into a perfect storm with all the undetected undesirables and radicals that got through the gate.

How do immigrant Radicals and other
weirdos get their hands on guns you ask?
"You have the strictest and most impractical gun ownership laws in the world" Australia is supposed to be a shining light example to the world.

Well firstly you have an Intelligence agency that can't find anything not even their own backside although they have the biggest spotlight and resources.
Then if you do find something you sit on it like an egg for three years or fob it off as a nothing .
Second
Don't share anything you think might be unusual behaviour or useful intelligence with any other authorities.
Third
When the "Weirdos" and Sleeper Cell chanters apply for a Gun Licence even though there might be doubts or a suspect family member connection give them one anyway. Let their kids have one instead if Dad's refused or ticks the Nutter Box.
Fourth
If some Nutter cashed up by their group or organisation appeals a decision heads to court then flys the Racial Discrimination or Victimisation flag.
The Political System and Judicial System caves in under Wokeness and Perception and secretly hands a licence across behind closed doors to avoid a scene.
Even though they were identified as a risk.
Fifth
Make sure any evil organisation within hiding behind different names or fronts receive no security checks but gets tax payer funded handouts or grants to further their community education and well being programs.
Also let their members arm themselves legally and illegally through all the shortcomings of 1 to 4

Then when things go wrong blame the legal law abiding gun owners out there for everything and make sure your seen by the media to do something even if it's completely outrageous and impractical.

Well some more interesting news on the Firearms and Gun Reform scene was revealed last night.
State of Victoria did a backflip has voted directly against adopting the Federals request for capped limits on guns ownership and proposed Buy Back scheme. Apparently leaving things as they were.
This goes directly in the face of the Feds who are the same Party Flag.
Victoria has an election in November and with the State administration broke, embroiled in corruption controversy and on the nose with voters .
All wreaks of a last minute vote grab attempt to try win back the gun vote it clearly didn't want on the books back in January when they turned their nose up and cut shooters adrift.
Victorian shooters have not forgotten that treatment one bit and are expected to punish at the polls along with the rest of the unhappy State population.
The present Victorian administration is predicted to get flushed. That is a traditional Feds strong hold State

With 5 States now openly rejecting Feds changes on Gun Reform and only 3 willing to side with them the scene has moved.
Feds are not sitting well popularity wise at all now with Australia public since December and the rising new right wing is gaining by the day in fact now over taken them as preferred.
There are very nervous woke leaders in the Capital Canberra contemplating they may be out of a job in 2 years time.
The Feds dictatorship ram it home stance on Gun Laws back in January certainly awakened the Australian Population to what could be next on the list

Well today some not so new amazing news regarding the presently underway Bondi Royal Commission inquiry into events Dec 8 2025.
The intelligence Agencies have been on the stand playing the no comment interest of National Security playcard.
A Journalist Sharee Markobsen who has persued the story relentlessly from day one with personal vested interest as she was covering the Religious Festivals and a first responder has spilled the beans on the Security Agencies.
She released evidence in a story that clearly shows the perpetrators were raised known to Authorities back 2007 and bought to attention again 2014 but ignored along with Border Force knowing they were actively visiting undesirable organisations abroad.
No secrets Public suspected a high level cover up but her evidence timed perfectly with these officials being on the stand and now got Politicians who stood before the masses saying this wasn't true 6 months back squirming and now back pedaling admitting there has been mass flaws in the Intelligence Arena information sharing process.
This stems from our Prime Minister down through to NSW State Premier now having to admit there was a known fault they emphatically denied and lied to public.
That has certainly set the cat amongst the pigeons .
The rat pack of Journos is hunting them now and questioning the Knee Jerk Gun Control response of Jan 2026 as being a pre determined Woke Agenda they had on the shelf planned to unleash on a suitable occasion.
I am no fan of Journos who would sell their Mother for a good story but good to see them pressing those who duck shoved responsibility onto law abiding gun owners and shooters who are being persecuted daily ever since.

As said I do not trust Journos one bit as they will and can play any side for a story.

However credit due her Sky TV feature 1 hr doco film couple months back actually dealt the facts and showed the events, leadup failures and highlighted Government inefficiencies and sleuthed out inter department security bungles for what they were suspected straight up at time.

Think she is in process of writing a book on the Bondi terror event as she was actually attending the Jewish festival at time on personal nature and was ground zero when unfolded so you would expect a credible account.

Appears the NSW State police ,area responsible for administering and managing Gun Licences have admitted to the enquiry chair on the stand today while being grilled, to having removed the role of intelligence officer from the daily operations of weapons licencing checks as a streamlining cost cutting measure.
How incompetent is that...........
What this means is zero assessment of any potential candidates good or bad applying for licences was being effectively checked or scrutinised and zero chance transfer of existing background intelligence knowledge being applied or shared from other areas or bureaus "where available"
An admission of law enforcement administrative negligence failing to stop "known" watchlist terrorist getting a legally issued gun licence which resulted in death of 15 innocent people.
Much squirming and wriggling by Law Officials but totally confirming what the public already suspected back in February adding more fuel to the lies and dodging tactics of Homeland Security intelligence Agency , Border Force, Federal Police and now more failures to compliment at State and local levels.
What a stuff up
No wonder the Prime Minister and State Premier fought so hard for two weeks not to have any kind of Royal Commission Hearing happen until the public and media outcry got too much.
Corruption and Inefficiency at its best multiple levels of Administrations.

Big news from Royal Commission Hearing today.
For first time in Australian history of a Public Inquest ...... the Chair called for input from a recognised Pro Gun shooting body.
Shooters Union Australia had applied prior for requested opportunity to submit evidence. Don't think anybody believed they would ever be called.
They were suddenly this week summonsed to represent as the "Shooters Voice". Have to wonder if proceeding revelations prior days and weeks actually forced this situation.
Mission to provide evidence demonstrating how the new draconian laws railroaded and passed in January 26 on capping gun ownership numbers to Registered Shooters would not contribute to stopping events like Dec 2025 being re committed.
They also presented financial study evidence to show how the proposed "Buy Back" cost and industry compensation is 4 X the figure floated by Government.
Importantly they got show how firearms industry and law abiding shooters welfare has been destroyed in 6 month of the new laws and their inefficiencies.
This is a pretty substantial event as it shows for first time somebody in an official investigating capacity is actually trying to look at all sides to quantify actions and events before releasing findings.
That is a plus.........
If only we could get our splintered pro gun groups to act as one like NRA we would be in business and better control the future.

The more the Government and N.S.W State is debunked and corruption and bureaucratic inefficiency bungles revealed the public perception is openly changing to see through and boot the standing administrations.

Wow, great news, Auzzie. I never expect good news from countries that don’t respect their citizens God given rights, so this is very surprising.

About the NRA. I’m a Life Member, but they’re no longer the organization that’s doing most of the work here in the US. It seems a lot of the funds were going to fund the extravagant lifestyle of the Executive Vice President, Wayne LaPierre. Ironically, the situation was corrected when they got sued by the anti-gun state of New York. Pierre was forced out, but there’s little money left to fight for our rights, apparently. Organizations like the SAF have been doing the heavy lifting lately. The NRA is the focus of the anti-gunners, allowing SAF et al to fly under the radar.

Unfortunately were not there yet by a long way but a step forward has been gained.

My goal is to keep a running account of events and the ensuing fight in the hope that one day it all finds its way to an organisation like your SAF so they can use bits and pieces as examples to educate others how it can all fall apart and effect " Joe Average shooter.

Something not touched on yet or discussed is the mental anguish and living in uncertainty aspect that has been pushed and forced onto law abiding shooters by the Governments actions and reactions of the past 6 months.
I personally have seen impacts and questioned people at our local clubs where the "old boys weekly" groups attendance has dropped right off and the planet.
The older socially driven members are just giving it away in droves now because it's all getting way too hard to deal with BS legal regulation paperwork and comprehend that their weekly social outing get together with mates of the last 40 years is under constant public perception scrutiny and lawmakers eyeballs 24/7
We had an elderly member take his own life with hand full of pills not a gun.
This because he feared he would loose all his collection and family heirlooms and got so depressed state behind the scenes he ended it.
His wife had passed some years prior and living alone last 6 yrs , seeing his mates for the weekly at the club had been his outlet interaction for many years prior Was he a Nutter or Unhinged. Absolutely Not I knew this guy personally.
Sure he was old and frail and poor eyesight but lived for his weekly outing.
He was an ex veteran and proud of his Country but could not handle what our society had become of hamstringing his beliefs and interests since January 2026
How do we know all this. He left a note for his buddies at the club.

This is the sad and dark side that lot of people who make laws and dictate draconian terms do not ever consider when they enforce conditions on those who were innocent of events and only wanted to go about their normal life. Imagine if this was at the Golf or Country Club instead.
Is this type of thing ever considered or reported on or bought to public attention.

As predicted to family some months back with the rapid rise in Youth Crime and violent Home Invasion going on round country,
it was only a matter of time before something gave and somebody got shot and things were going to get really tested.
We don't have "Castle Law" self defence rights in Australia.
Well yesterday it finally happened .
Elderly 75 yr old woman gets stabbed in chest by intruder then intruder stabbed 75 yr old husband in guts. Intruder goes outside to shed comes back in house and meantime the husband manages to somehow get to a gun and shoots 40 yr old intruder offender in guts and halts in tracks . Not dead but wounded.
The media is in a absolute frenzy as it has all the ingredients of a new presidence scenario that everybody saw coming.
Husband is a legal law abiding gun owner in State of New South Wales which their Premier has just instigated the most ridiculous draconian of the gun laws since December 25 events.
Husband and Wife are both model citizens on initial investigation both in bad way in hospital induced coma serious condition.
The Police Commissioner was on TV getting absolutely roasted by media mob as to whether State is going to actually charge the 75 yr old for firearms offences and attempted murder under new laws.
He ducked and weaved but finally said no that's unlikely given events.

What a disgrace and absolute joke.

However the media scrum is running wild and hot with this as front page news today and on every TV station so you can expect the Premier to get his public dose in front of camera as situation and facts come to light.
The ultimate public Political judgement is about to happen by people in fear wanting answers.
The Castle Law defend yourself argument along with gun laws is number one news topic event in Australia today.

The fact that this is Big News is terrific. Most pro-gun stories in the US are buried by the main stream media. Only those stories that further their Left Wing objectives get air time. So this is a start. The Leftist politicians will have a hard time defending their draconian laws. So they’ll back off, for now. But they never go away.

Given this is first time anything pro gun has ever made prime time be interesting to see how long they run with it.
Seems with all the stories on Administrative Failure findings last week at Royal Commission this latest home invasion of apple pie Mum n Dad is news worthy stuff and got people suddenly thinking " hey that could have been me"
And "hey Government has taken away any possible form of defending myself"
And " hey were so under policed that they might not turn up for 2 hours if ring 000 for emergency"
Interestingly if the offender was killed there would probably be no trial because of public backlash and it would fade disappear to history.
Would have saved some taxpayers dollars too funding another life criminal though

However there is now going to be a public trial down the track in a year or two, close to Federal Election time which I am sure the media will dig up the bones on and various players out there will try use to their advantage/disadvantage.
