I friend bought a stock thinking it would fit his Browning. Needless to say it did not. It was beat up a little and had a 3/4 in. piece missing on the tip of the bottom on the receiver end, and it was coated with some over-spray that felt like lacquer and was greenish in color. He gave it to me and thought it would fit my Citori. The stock is stamped 625 on the inside of the tang and appears to have been shortened about 3/4 of an inch. It was advertised as a 12 ga. but It looks more like a 28 ga or maybe a .410. I've looked at a lot of pictures of Browning stocks and don't see one that has the same front end shape. Here's a before picture and my repair and refinishing job. Any guesses?
