Every time I pick up an original A-5 I'm blown away by the quality. I do not own a new A-5 but was at the local gun shop yesterday and asked to see one. I looked at it for 30 sec and gave it back. Am I an old A-5 snob or is the new one just not that impressive in build quality?

    I suppose I agree. Maybe that's why I own a Baker's Dozen.

"Made?" Define "made." Few things are made by hand anymore. Robots are building guns and a worker checks fit/finish, maybe assembles, then packs it in a box for shipping. It took years of apprenticeship to learn skills at FN. Many new gun owners today don't have the faintest idea what quality is, or was.

You are not alone, Tom. Comparing it to the Auto 5, the A5 just feels cheap.
