Welcome Sir, you don't have to be a Browning owner to be a member. Hopefully someone here can help you out. Remember pictures are the best. There are post on how to use Imgur to post them. It works most of the time, even know last couple days I have had to try several times to get it to work.
Howdy Ranger, Unless there is a problem with the forum, I never did understand the need for an outside app like IMGUR. My problem is rather where to pose my question; I looked and looked but couldn't find a thread/forum for: "Need help identifying" or similarly worded question to gain as many eyes as possible. The item in question is a Browning-made scope mount base, I'm hoping to find a decade of manufacture and even better, which rifle would a model 2121 mount on?
Yes, there is a known problem with posting pictures. You will have to use Imgur or google or some other.
One of my most-favorite and most-used resources for identifying items, is Cornell Publications, who stock old and new-reprints of gun and firearm catalogs. https://cornellpubs.com. You can search on a manufacturer and several PDF downloads on a year-range about your item is fairly cheap. Compare it to the catalog and you'll have an answer usually.
