    Hi
New to the BLR family. I have been shooting for years but just purchased my first BLR in .243.

I shoot a lot of pigs hence the lever action as semi-autos are near impossible to get in Australia.
My question is can you get an extended magazine for the BLR?
I have searched everywhere and even spoken to a couple gunsmiths to no prevail.
Anyone know of or can point me in the right direction?

Nope, nothing available (at least in N. America). Some have apparently tried using FAL magazine bodies soldered(???) to the upper portion of a BLR or BAR magazine to make their own large/extended mags, but that's the absolute only thing I've ever seen or heard of for the BLR. Sorry.

FWIW, I quite like my 243 BLR. Even with the not-high-capacity mags, it's nice and quick on the follow-up. That said, mine at least wouldn't do well if I tried to send 10 rounds through it in rapid succession. The bbl is too light and the 243 too overbore for it to be happy doing that. Maybe yours won't scatter rounds once the bbl heats up, but mine tends to.
