I have been a Browning man since age 14 when I got my first rifle, a BL-22. Of course I still have it. I then had a cursed Broadway Trap gun which I eventually sold (long story for another post). In 1977 Dad bought me a 1967 Lightning Grade I Superposed. This is my upland gun and skeet gun. I shoot it still today. It is a part of me. When I earned my Doctorate in 1992, Dad surprised me again with a new 1968 Auto-5 Magnum. This became by duck gun and I shoot no other shotgun better. If it cycled skeet loads, I would shot it in skeet (maybe). A few years ago I realized a dream and got a 1973 Hi-Power. I shoot it wonderfully and it is my carry gun. I just returned from a gun show where I swooned over Midas grade Superposed with gold ducks on them. I want a double barrel with gold ducks on it more than I can express. Other than my leather A2 jacket, my Brownings are the only material things I really lust over. Everything thing else is hubris.
