Interchanging parts between guns

    While you have the actions apart look at the main springs. Measure the length of them. I want to see if the spring from the older gun is longer. I have a 1928 and the mainspring broke. I ordered a replacement and the new one it too short to engage the hammer. Look at the tip of the mainspring that engages the hammer. Is it about 1/4 inch longer then the tip of the new one?
