first A5, 16 ga what do I have?

    just bought a 16 ga A5 made in 1929, it has a 24 inch vent rib barrel(24 inch??) says cylinder on it, barrel and forearm ser no do not match, finished has turned a brown patina. seller says it will only shoot the short shells. has pachmayer butt pad.

    Shotguns with mismatched barrels and recievers are extremely dangerous. But don't worry, I will gladly take that thing off of your hands for you... ya know.... just to help you out. ;+)

    What does the barrel say? Can you show a close up of the proof markings?

    did some more research and putting a tape down the barrel it measures 24 13/16 or exactly 63 cm, the ser no is76959, 1928, barrel has 909 marked in 2 places and has date code i which is 1930, the choke stamped on the barrel is 16.7 which equals .657 which is what I measure. the barrel is marked-cylinder 16 special steel, under the address line of ogdon utah. these is also the 16 65 in the oval.
