New member here looking for knowledge. I have a Fabrique National 9mm on a High Power patent, The gun has a very low 70000 serial number, but on the barrel proof it has a *E. From what I can tell by the serial number, it was some of the first imported guns by Browning into the U.S. around 1954. But the barrel proof shows 1926 proof under proof controller Jamart Auguste. Am I correct on any of this, and was the barrel left over pre war stock ?
    Thanks for any replies
