Got a call from a game keeper friend of mine, he knows someone who's retired from shooting.
Just picked up what I think is a FN Browning Auto 5 which has been converted to a 3 shot now.
Think it's 1960 but not sure as Browning couldn't tell me the year from the serial number.
I'm hoping someone could help with this. The number reads 60 20387
Hate to rub it in but it was free.......;)

Hello Landry, welcome to the forum.

Looks like you've got a World Market Auto-5, and since its restricted to 3 shots, I'm guessing that you're in the U.K. You're right about 1960, WM guns used a simple 2 digit prefix while Browning imports used a more complicated system.

Oh cool! I have one of those. Does yours have a Monte Carlo stock? (mine does). It shoots great. I am in USA so no pesky mag restrictions.
