Can you fire any BAR without receiver plugs in?

    I'm sure its not good for the bolt, or your receiver, but could you in a pinch? Anyone here tried?

    Are you referring to the scope mount holes?

    Yes. I found filler plugs cheap locally, but I'd still like to know the answer to this question

    Sure, you can shoot without the plugs, they are only there to keep out debris. No pressure bears on the plugs during firing. Some manufacturers use plastic plugs these days.

    You are welcome, I am a professional mechanical engineer :) I became one to design firearms, tried to get a job at browning after college, no luck and never got into the Industry but never lost the love for it.
