This is a great find. I own a "Stealth" unmarked "Sweet Sixteen" from 1947 with SN - X97xx (First 10,00 produced). These were produced in limited quantity (and as stated in an earlier post) were not marked as Sweet Sixteen until 1948. All of the marking you indicated are correct and the SN indicates you have an unmarked or "Stealth" Sweet Sixteen from 1947. The collectors market has softened a bit in recent years for these and other similar shotguns due to demand on rifles but it is still a valuable piece. Also, verify that all SN on the gun match...just an FYI.

The X prefix denotes the now standard 70mm (2 3/4 inch) chamber length from the previous 65mm ( 2 9/16) short chamber length in December 1946.
Not only is it a Stealth Sweet but it is one of the first to sport the new 2 3/4 chamber, best of both worlds.
Be content in the fact you got it at a steal, these guns will continue to appreciate.
I can attest to the fact that the longer you use it the more value it will possess, regardless of how the "market" is performing.
