    Dear BLR Owners,

The lever on my just-purchased 300WSM BLR (L) opens a little more than that of my .270 BLR - to reveal the angle shown in the picture. Can my fellow BLR owners confirm that this is normal?

The 270 is a long action and 300wsm is short action. Needs more room to eject the longer case.

Scratch that, it would be the other way around.

All I know is if both shoot, then both are timed just fine. The BLR won't shoot and cycle correctly even if the timing is off by one tooth.

If it shoots and cycles well and nobody has opened them before....all is well

Thanks! yes, it locks up perfectly, so no problems. I've also heard that variations in lever arc between individual rifles are due to each action being hand-assembled and timed.
I look forward to shooting some steel targets at 600 yds with the new 300 soon.
