image.jpg Probably a dumb question....but here goes. I just bought my first A5 after years of coveting one. The serial number on the receiver is 5G13017... Which I have found means it's a light 12 made in 1965. The barrel is marked made in Belgium. When I took the barrel off, I noticed that it is marked with K67078. Is this also a serial number and does this mean this isn't the original barrel, or does it mean something else? Thanks for any help.

FN stopped stamping the serial number on the barrel in 1953. When they did it was at the base of the ring. I don't know what that number is for--it doesn't appear in any reference book.
I don't see any reason to believe your barrel isn't the original.
