Shot my little 308 BLR at 100 yds yesterday. Shoots good, very pleased. Winchester 150gr Powerpoints. Shots 1, 2, and 3 grouped 1.25" 4 opened it up to 2" After lowering the rear sight all the way, 5 and 6 were 0.8" apart. 7 and 8 were 2.5" apart on the nine ring - holding under. Lowest rear sight setting still a little high for 100 yds with this ammo but managed to walk them in. Will try heavier bullets next or a modest power scope.
Glad you could get out to do some shooting. Thats a good day period. I'm not much for open sites anymore. Last open site was M16 back in the day.
