Remove it. (I'm not a lanyard ring guy.) According to the FN manual you drive it out using a punch through the hole in the right side of the grip....

I don't think there is a skeleton hammer that comes on any factory gun. T-series guns came with a ring hammer. Look forward to seeing your pics....
