Mine was made in early 2014 and after totally cleaning the recoil spring area and running oiless (no lube in the spring area) only a little grease on...
IMHO...........water under the bridge.
BTW...........My 101 is a sporting model with a 32 in. barrel and is awsum ...........the A5 kicks more than any other gun I have , but not bad IMHO

I returned my A5 to the dealer as stated above ......... bought a Win. 101 and then bought a Brn. Maxus and shoot either gun rather well ..........
Oh man .........Iam having second thoughts now on gettin the Maxus , dont think I,ll buy it. I had an New A5 and had ejection issues , so sold it...
