From the trigger, I’m guessing pre WWI.

Due to the larger take-down hole, it appears to be prior to 1909.

Hey Bruski, forgot to ask did you end up getting the DA with extra barrel you were looking at couple months back?

I saw that too. But the reinforcing bump points to 1909 or later.

Those early Browning are "porngun". I believe Rudolph meant 1909 or later. The challenge will be to find the proper forearm.

Re the two barrel DA - went to click on the buy now and too late.
Plan to keep a closer eye on this one.

I am leaning towards a 1909, as it appears to be "transitional" in that it does have the reinforcing bump on the receiver, but it still has the larger take-down hole on the left side. Along with the "straight" trigger (which was done away with in 1909) it kinda tells me it was made in the midst of those changes.

I'd give you $100 for it just to avoid later headaches.

S/V says the trigger changed by 1923, when US imports resumed. But I’ve noticed that although they were more curved in the early 20’s, they were curved even more by the early 30’s.
    1911ish

Best as I can tell from S/No maybe 1912? Assuming this is S/No. S-No.jpg

Did you end up buying this?

The gun disappeared off the site before the auction finished.
I think there were a few too many questions being asked so seller pulled out.
Still keeping an eye out, we'll see what comes up.

That a bummer. Sure something will pop up again your side of the ditch. Your fishing hole has way more fish in it than mine.
