Changing the looks............

  1. Thankfully...Browning wisely chose to produce these pistols with a Stainless Steel slide. So whether or not your model has no finish (all stainless slide) or has the black finish or has the polished sides, ALL of them can be touched up or modified without the worries of carbon steel type rust.

    Since I happen to like the look of the polished slide models (medallion and couple of others) and since the slide is Stainless Steel (already mentioned)... it was a simple matter to sand and then polish the black slide to achieve that look. See below.

    Took a couple of hours. Some 200 grit sand paper for initial removal of the finish and some 800 grit wet/dry to finish it up.

  3. Definitely looks different with varying amounts of light.

    You can choose any amount of polish you like..from a brushed look (I recommend) to a high mirror polish.

    Also, little things like changing the grips (color and type) can make the pistol more distinctive.
