Date a SweetSixteen

    Can someone tell me the date on this SweetSixteen? I inherited from a uncle last year.

    After finding a roman numeral converter, :), i come up with 1967. Thank you. I have read at a few areas trying to figure it out. Can you tell me how you come up with that number?

    Sure, the serial number prefix. From 1958 to 1967 they used a single digit for the year. From 1968 to '76 they switched to 2 digits. After that a letter code was used.

    The letter is the model code. "S" for Sweet Sixteen. "R" for standard 16. "G" or "L" for Light Twelve. "M"or "H" for standard 12. The letter codes started in 1953.
