    hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. There is a beautiful Auto 5 for sale at a local gunshop. I date it to 1966, it is 12 gauge choked Skeet. The barrel is 26 inches, 2 and 3/4 inch chamber. My question is, can I put a 28 inch Hastings barrel (2 and 3/4 inch) on when I want to hunt and use steel shot? Or, do I need to find another 26 inch barrel? Are the different barrel lengths interchangeable as long as it is 2 and 3/4 inch chamber? Does Hastings make a 26 inch barrel? All I see on their website is 28 inch.

    Thanks

If that means me, I don't know nuthin' about no Hastings barrels. But other non-magnum Auto-5 barrels should interchange.

Hastings barrel will be perfect for steel. A 28" is fine.
