I can't believe there isn't a thread about hunting dogs on here. Oh well. Just like the name says, post your hunting dogs here. Feel free to include your Browning in the picture, along with a name of the species of dog you have. Have fun with this!
Here is my sweet Brook....a female mix of Yellow Lab and Beagle, and one of my best dogs for the hunt. ( probably restrained in the pic so that she wouldn't chase squirrels while I was doing chores out front ) An awesome upland waterfowl dog...whose real talent was flushing quail, partridge, and pheasant... She was my best friend...she passed away two years ago...and I miss her everyday !! ... Probably growling at a squirrel... Watching FOX News with me in the man cave...from her favorite perch next to my recliner.
Ha... I was wondering when I would get called out for that one. Right now I am without a hunting dog, but here is my Autumn. I miss her.
Thanks...that's her at 13 years of age. Still had it in her to go afield...me, not so much anymore !!
This here is Lucky. We sorely miss him. Mostly good for chasing rabbits, he actually cornered a coyote in the barn, one time, which I promptly dispatched with my Colt (made) M1927 .45 auto.
I lost my Setter last year. He was two weeks shy of 13. He was a great bird dog and companion. He is dearly missed. http://www.browningowners.com/forum...nting-picture-and-video-thread.635/#post-5672
My avatar pic is a 10 month old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, showing promise: She replaces a German Shorthair Pointer we hunted over for 13 years:
Miss? After shooting skeet and sporting clays all summer shooting a pointed pheasant is like throwing a 5 gallon bucket in the air. Just kidding I do miss and yes if looks could kill I’d be dead.
