I have a bore snake for my .22 pistol. Should I spray some CLP in the bore first before running the bore snake through? Or should I just run the bore snake through the bore dry?

Welcome to the Browning Owners Forum !!

The CLP should be applied directly to the bore snake around the enclosed bronze brush area...then pulled through...breach to barrel crown.

For best results I've found I apply a detergent to the bore first and leave for some minutes (but not to dry!). I used Ed's Red.

Boresnake says you should apply a detergent or anything with C of CLP to the front of the snake. And then anything with P to the end!

Personally I run a boresnake through then mop with a P.
