Hi, just bought a '66 t-bolt and am told it is the T2 grade. Besides barrel length what's the difference? It has a custom (?) oiled walnut stock with checkering but since I think that's custom that doesn't help.

per the Standard Catalog of Browning Firearms

    FN T-bolts manufactured from 1965-1974
FN T1 had a 22 inch barrel and plain walnut stock.
FN T2 had a 24 inch barrel and select checkered walnut stock.

Many FN t-bolts were effected by salt wood and the authors consider the T2 a sleeper collectible.

I think thru the Browning lines the different grades are about wood and decoration (engraving). The basic firearm is the same.

Thanks Bill. Looks like I got a T2. Yay. Steel looks clean so probably not a salt gun Yay again.
